René Magritte
Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (京都市美術館)
124 Okazakienshojicho, Sakyo-ku, Okazaki Park, Kyoto, Japan

Rene Magritte was a representative artist of the 20th century art world who developed an individual art world style that jumped out of the regulated “frameworks” of our thoughts and activities. Acquiring the cooperation of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium and the Foundation Magritte, 130 representative works will be exhibited. From his early to late period, the artist’s thought and creation will be traversed, addressing the skillful attractiveness of the mystery of Magritte’s art.
